I absolutely loved being part of the Murfin’s Birth Story. They had quite the journey before their Rainbow Baby Sloane Emory Murfin was born on 19/04/2017 via C-Section. Mommy Ashleigh was so kind to share their journey with us.

Our story is one that travelled quite a journey to get us to where we are today. I have had quite a hard time with my health and doctors had told us that it was very unlikely that we would have children naturally and I wasn’t allowed to do fertility treatment due to the hormones. That reality simply was not good enough for us. We conceived naturally after many months of disappointment and we were over the moon. However, we lost our little girl.. her name was Harper. She then sent us our beautiful rainbow blessing Sloane. We decided to hire Magriki to document the birth of our daughter as we knew it was going to be very emotional but also that it would be one of the happiest days of our lives. We knew I would be having a ceaserean section due to a very risky pregnancy. I went into labour at 35 weeks and I called Magriki in a flat panic. What now??!!! She assured me that she was on standby and that she would come if it was time. I was in labour for 3 days and I was adamant to keep my baby girl in until we hit the 36 week mark. Magriki was there as she had promised and she did such an amazing job of capturing the raw emotion and pure joy of Sloane’s arrival into the world. My doctors were very impressed with Magriki’s ability to capture beautiful moments in theatre while still giving them the space they needed. I think the photos speak for themselves and tell a wonderful story. Magriki also did Sloane’s newborn shoot and she was so good with her. The photos are incredible and we are so happy with our choice to use Magriki. I often joke that she is stuck with us now, birthdays, special occasions and even the “just because we can” photo shoots. Thank you Magriki!!”
